Hey RepairShoprs – Happy Wednesday!
This week we’re sharing a security update within our API system. You can now create API tokens to be used on an individual application basis, therefore granting access to only the information needed for the particular application you’re using it with.
For those who don’t know, RepairShopr’s API provides a robust way to connect various pieces of software together, so you’re able to utilize the applications you want in the ways you want to use them.
Now, rather than using one single API key for every application you wish to connect with RepairShopr, you can create a specific token for each app, therefore granting them access to only the information they need and none of the information they don’t.
This provides an added layer of security, as the account information is limited per application.
For those who were already using our legacy API system, we’ve accounted for that and you shouldn’t notice any changes in the setup used prior.
